I’m a digital marketing freelancer and virtual assistant with 15+ years of online experience (yes, I’ve been around since the days of dial-up… 😂). And while I am no expert, I’ve picked up a lot of lessons along the way. Trust me, it’s not all about coffee shop vibes and passive income dreams.

Now, you might be thinking, “Oh great, another person trying to teach me how to be a VA.” As if you haven’t heard it all before, right?

I get it.

Since the pandemic, freelancing or being a VA more specifically has become the new gold rush. With lucrative offers and the promise of working from home, it’s no wonder so many are diving in.

But I’m not here just to teach you how to start (though we’ll definitely cover that). I’m here to help you go beyond the basics and help you thrive.

See, I’ve been doing this long enough to know that freelancing isn’t a get-rich-quick scheme (despite what those flashy TikToks say ✌️).

It’s work. Real, roll-up-your-sleeves-and-hustle work. Sure, it gets easier over time with the right skills, experience, and systems, but it’s not something you can “shortcut” your way through.

Why I Decided to Start a Blog

For years, I wanted to start a blog and write about something meaningful. But I was always too afraid. I’ve had the worst Impostor Syndrome, that nagging voice in my head telling me I wasn’t “expert” enough, that no one would care what I had to say. So, I put it off. Again and again.

But deep down, I knew I was failing myself by not starting. I knew that if I didn’t do it now, I might never do it. And that scared me more than failing.

So here we are. Virtual Tita was born out of my desire to share what I’ve learned in freelancing and finance, not as an expert, but as someone who’s been where you are. I don’t have all the answers, but I do have experiences that I know can help others who are looking for clarity.

From big wins to tough lessons (and everything in between), my goal is to give you a fresh, practical perspective on freelancing and personal finance, one that’s grounded in reality but still inspiring to get you excited about the possibilities. 

And if this blog helps even one freelancer feel less lost, then it’s all worth it.
