Library

Welcome to my personal library!

This is where I share the books that have made a real difference in how I think about career, finances, personal growth, and intentional living.

Every title you’ll find here is something I’ve personally read, reflected on, and applied in my own journey. These aren’t random recommendations or trendy lists. They’re real resources that helped me build a simpler, more sustainable life, both as a freelancer and beyond.

Check out my recommended reads below. I hope they inspire and support you, wherever you are on your own journey.

Personal Growth & Productivity

Atomic Habits by James Clear

A super practical guide to creating better habits without needing huge willpower. I still use his “tiny changes” approach to stay consistent with my goals, whether it’s for work, finances, or health.

Essentialism: The Disciplined Pursuit of Less by Greg McKeown

This book taught me the importance of focusing on what truly matters and letting go of distractions. A must-read if you’ve ever felt pulled in too many directions and want to live more intentionally.

Grit: The Power of Passion and Perseverance by Angela Duckworth

Talent matters, but sticking with your goals matters even more. This book helped me understand that building anything meaningful takes resilience and steady effort.

Hidden Potential: The Science of Achieving Greater Things by Adam Grant
[Get it on Kindle | Shopee]

This book was a big part of what inspired me to start Virtual Tita. It’s about how everyday people can nurture their hidden potential, not through overnight success, but through steady growth, community support, and believing in the long game.

Money Mindset & Financial Freedom

You’ll notice that some investing books are written mainly for a U.S. audience. While specific strategies might not always apply directly to us here in the Philippines, the core concepts like building wealth slowly, living intentionally, and making smart money decisions are universal and are absolutely valuable when working toward long-term financial security.

Your Money or Your Life by Vicki Robin and Joe Dominguez
[Get it on Kindle | Not listed on Shopee]

One of the most powerful books for rethinking your relationship with money. It’s not just about budgeting, but also about making sure your spending aligns with the life you actually want to live.

I Will Teach You to Be Rich by Ramit Sethi
[Get it on Kindle | Shopee]

Straightforward advice on saving, investing, and designing a “rich life” that’s personal to you. Some examples are U.S.-specific, but the bigger lessons, like automating finances and spending consciously, are universally helpful.

Financial Freedom: A Proven Path to All the Money You Will Ever Need by Grant Sabatier
[Get it on Kindle | Not listed on Shopee]

Grant shares his journey from struggling financially to reaching financial independence. Even if your own timeline looks different, the book offers valuable lessons on maximizing your income, saving aggressively, and creating options for yourself.

The Psychology of Money by Morgan Housel

A beautiful reminder that financial success isn’t just about knowledge, but also about behavior. This book shares stories and lessons about patience, humility, and smart decision-making that anyone can relate to. I have read this book twice and is one of my top favorites on this list.
